Twenty portrait sculptures of people of art living in various times and in various countries. Their names made it into history just like the names of the artists, who depicted them.

It is not easy to “read” a sculptural story of a certain person. However, the texts about the life of each artist, his creative method and weight in the history of art will be the key to understanding the art works. These texts will be supplemented with explanations about expressive powers of sculpture varying depending on the time and the artist.

We are inviting the audience to talk about how to look at sculpture – one of the most difficult-to-perceive arts. In our everyday life we rarely deal with indoor sculpture, that is sculpture created in a workshop on a special machine. As a rule, there is no place for such works in a modern apartment, and for the streets and squares monumental sculpture is used, which follows different rules. Our exhibition is the opportunity to learn communication with this kind of art and to get closer to those, who see the world as volume.
